Why is our nation’s Assyrian identity the uniting and legitimate name to claim Assyria and the Assyrian nation’s national rights?
Answer:
It’s with the Assyrian identity that we can affirm the legitimate rights of the indigenous Assyrians to reclaim at least a part of their homeland in order to preserve their endangered existence. The Assyrian name and identity are historically and geographically attached to the Assyrians and their homeland forming a coherent unit which before the international community and according to all charters of human rights and laws related to land claims, the Assyrian people are the only legitimate heirs to demand their rights on their ancestral lands as per those international laws, that’s why it’s crucial to protect and promote the Assyrian identity and all that it encompasses which comprises Assyria.
