Report: 26 thousand and 858 families forced to flee their homes inside Iraq

Baghdad –As per the latest report issued by the Ministry of Displacement & Migration 26.000 and 858 families were forced to flee their homes from all over Iraq except the North of Iraq. The report stated that “the fleeing families dispersed within 15 Iraqi governorates, with 4642 families in the Baghdad governorate, 1585 families in al-Muthanna governorate, 2290 families to the al-Wassit governorate, and 1831 families to the Missan governorate”.
The report stated also that there are other families in the following governorates:
Zhi-Qar: 1668 families, Al- Basrah: 1040 families. Kerbala: 3120 families, Babylon: 700 families, Al- Qaddisiya: 650 families, Al- Najaf: 2710 families, Al-Anbar: 900 families, Diyala: 2240 families, Salah al- din: 2500 families, Kirkuk: 274 families, Ninewa (Nineveh): 713 families.
Meanwhile and according to a government official, the ministry continues to distribute rations to these families, making arrangements with the Iraqi Red Crescent, and other humanitarian organizations working in Iraq, in order to relieve some of the suffering of these families. The ministry also affirmed that all the government and public efforts must be concentrated on finding a solution to end the suffering of these displaced families.
