Is there an end to the trail of treason?
September 02nd, 2006

We might not want to believe that history repeats itself but in the case of the Assyrian people it seems that the threads of treason are spun continuously either at the hands of some who falsely claim to be Assyrians or at the hands of those who claim to be serving God.

A new article written by a Kurd praising the Vatican for bestowing an “honor” on a person who is serving the Kurds shows the extent of the unholy involvement of the Vatican into the politics which are governing and oppressing the Assyrians in the Kurdish Occupied North of Iraq i.e. the land of Ashur in particular and the war consumed Iraq in general. What concerns us in this is the role that the Kurds are playing allowing the Roman Catholic Church and its representatives in Iraq i.e. the Chaldean Church to promote the Kurds and their practices as long as they are praising the Vatican and financially contributing in a manner which allows them to buy the conscience of any one who is willing to sell.

The writer of the article continues with his ranting about the “peaceful co-existence” of the his people with others blaming the Ottomans for attempting to create divisions between the Christians and Muslims, while he turns completely blind to the fact that it was his leaders such as Badrkhan (whom he’s carrying his name) Simko, Mir Kor and many others were responsible for horrific genocides committed against the Assyrian people in the Assyrian lands of Hakkari in what’s today south-eastern Turkey where the Kurds are trying to claim for themselves yet again on top of the blood and bones of the Assyrians.

The Kurdish writer mentions couple of names as examples of “Christians” who have helped and struggled with the Kurds but he conveniently fails to mention that those were people who accepted to deny their own Assyrian nationality and people in favor of serving the Kurds and such people aren’t considered as Assyrians.

The false propaganda goes on and on throughout the article which is nothing but a continuous campaign of confiscating Assyrian lands and building a foreign entity with the help of western countries and their organizations which have turned into promoters of freak shows and with the aid of those who are calling themselves “Assyrian politicians” and all other names in between for being side show watchers and players in this dirty game.

They say history doesn’t forget then let it record the following:

Let history record that the Assyrian Genocides and massacres will not be forgotten.

Let history record that those who instigated perpetrated and covered up these Genocides and massacres will neither be forgiven nor forgotten.

Let history record the dirty role which the past governments of the East and West have played in the Genocides against the indigenous Assyrians.
Let history record the dirty role which the governments of the East and West are playing today against the indigenous Assyrians.

Let history record that any harm which is befalling the indigenous Assyrians today and in the future will be on the conscience of the world leaders (if they have any conscience).

Let history record that the indigenous Assyrians have the right to live peacefully in their own lands and not as refugees under the mercy of their oppressors.

Let history record that the world has an obligation and a debt towards the indigenous Assyrians to help them preserve their Assyrian identity, culture, heritage and religious beliefs.

Let history record that through the atrocities and sorrows the indigenous Assyrians were able to teach the world a lesson of survival and overcoming the betrayal of the near and far.

Let history record on the list of shame the name of any one who betrayed Assyria.
