Say what? Mr. Serwan Karkoki?
Recently, I read in an article posted by Ankawa.com by a kurdish man named Serwan karkoki. Mr. Karkoki is staging the role of the victim, by stating how much blood the kurds have shed in northern Iraq. Never the less, He has the nerve to claim that the Assyrians have never been prosecuted or massacred by the kurds. Further, he concludes his article with a question that seems puzzling to him. Poor karkoki, He just can't seem to understand why Assyrians feel betrayed in there ancestral land. Karkoki refers to the Kurdish population as being larger then the Assyrian population and he uses that statement to claim Assyria as his ancestral land.
Mr. Karkuki, The reason why we are a minority is because your kurdish leaders were Blood thirsty and murderers. Kurdish leaders in the past such as simko, baderkhan, barzani, merkor and others have committed massive massacres against us. 750,000 civilians were butchered in 1914-1915 by the kurds.
In 1842 Assyrians living in the mountains of Hakkari and Tiyari faced a massive attack by Bedir Khan's Kurdish troops which resulted in the death of tens of thousands of Christian Assyrians.
Therefore before you go on claiming friendship with the Assyrians and brainwashing our people by staging a good treatment, make sure you prove your good intentions by admitting to the massacres that your fathers committed against us. Until then, you will remain an occupier and a traitor.
